Hey, did you know that our Members Mark Fair Trade Certified coffee grounds have some cool practical uses even after you’ve brewed your coffee? Check this outhere are three awesome ways to give those used coffee grounds a second life:

1. Neutralize odors: Coffee contains nitrogen, which is great at eliminating odors. Just leave an open container of used grounds around to get rid of any unpleasant smells. You can also make a little sachet to hang around your place or toss in your car. Just make sure those grounds are completely dried out to avoid any mold issues. Oh, and here’s a neat trick: after handling strong-smelling foods like garlic or onions, rub some used coffee grounds on your hands to get rid of the lingering scent.
2. Make an exfoliant: Grab those coffee grounds and mix them up with some gritty sugar and your favorite oil. Give your damp skin a good scrub with the mix, and then rinse it off. Your skin will thank you!
3. Scrub hard-to-clean surfaces: Sprinkle those grounds onto stuff like pots, pans, gardening tools or even your grill grates. The gritty texture works wonders in tackling grease, stubborn stains and stuck-on food.
