Stove Top Cooking Instructions

1. MIX 2 1/2 cups water, Rice Mix, meat of one’s choice, and 1 tbsp. vegetable or olive oil (optional) in a 3-quart saucepan until well blended. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover.
2. SIMMER for 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
3. REMOVE from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving. *Add cooked shrimp during the last 5 minutes of cooking time.

Microwave Cooking Instructions

1. MIX 2 1/2 cups hot water, Rice Mix, meat of one’s choice*, and 1 tbsp. vegetable or olive oil (optional) in a 2 1/2-quart microwavable bowl until well blended. Cover.
2. MICROWAVE on HIGH for 5 minutes. Stir. Microwave on MEDIUM (50% power) for 18 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally. Let stand in the microwave for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving. *Add cooked shrimp during the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
